Dave and Chris interviewed Adam from Camara Ireland. Camara provide reconditioned laptops and computers to people who may not have access to them normally. He spoke about their LearnStorm, which was formerly known as Mathletes which use Khan Academy materials. The LearnStorm Final celebrations were held at the Excited Digital Festival today.

Caitlin interviewed Ciarán Cannon about his talk today at the Excited Digital Learning Festival. She asked him why he felt it was necessary to co-found the digital learning movement that has evolved into what it is today. He also told us about how he sees technology advancing in our classrooms in the future and what we can do to make the necessary changes.

Caitlin interviewed students from Cloghans Hill NS about their involvement today at the Learn Storm and the Excited Digital Learning Festival. They spoke about how they use Learn Storm in their school and how it has helped them in the classroom. They also spoke about how they use technology at home and how they’ve enjoyed the day so far.

Anna and Amy interviewed Michael Carey, who has been involved in a pilot initiative to broaden the variety of subjects at Junior Cert. He spoke about a Junior Cert short course on Coding and also about how schools can now develop their own courses to fulfil their students needs.

Anna and Roisin interviewed Tomas McLoughlin. Tomas is a teacher in Rosegreen National School near Cashle in Tipperary. At the Digital Megameet today Tomas shared a Digital Portfolio app called Seesaw which he has used as a Learning Support tool. This app helps the social development of students.

Amy and Roisin interviewed Fred Boss of #edchatie fame. Fred established this online community of educators across Ireland and facilitates a weekly online chat on a Monday evening from 8:30 to 9:30. Fred is an Arts teacher who is now working as Education Officer with the NCCA.

Dave and Chris interviewed 4 lads from Confey College in Leixlip in Kildare. They told us about their project, why they came to Excited today and some of the ins and outs of their satellite.

Finn and Chris interview Derek Breen. We found out how he doesnt mind doing talks in different countries as long as he has his flight paid. We also learned of his hatred for power point and how he involves t-shirts (that he creates using scratch) in his talks. We also heard of https://scratch.mit.edu/users/bubble103/ the creator of “Colour Divide” and what she is up to since.

Amy and Roisin interviewed Leigh Graves Wolf. Leigh is from Michigan State University and delivered a Spotlight presentation and talked about design thinking. In the interview she talked about who she was and how much design thinking can progress in the future.

The tables were turned for Roisin as she got interviewed at YMT’s latest workshop at #Cesicon. Seamus, Mary, Norah and Mary-Kate got the chance to learn how the Youth Media Team formed and how they work. They were very interested in how easy it was to record the audio, write the blog post and tweet.
