Amy and Roisin interviewed Eimear Meaghar and Miriam Crone at ICT in Education. It was their first time at the conference and they spoke about their experience. They told us about what they found interesting at the conference. They also mentioned how important conferences like ICT in Education are and would thoroughly recommend people to go.

As part of the ICTedu conference LIT Thurles, we attended a workshop facilitated by the Youth Media Team. Siobhan outlined her role as a lecturer at DBS and how her career has changed over time.

Caitlin and Roisin interviewed David Pollard at #cesicon. David spoke about his work with Learning Tech Labs. He told us how they are community of technologists,designers,educators and entrepreneurs sharing knowledge and creating solutions for better education. He told us about how that community has developed and where to find it.

During our Youth Media Team workshop we got interviewed by Claire,Ailís and Gavin. They asked us about how the work of the Youth Media Team and our experience with it. They also asked us about our favourite interviews, possible interviews and people we might like to interview in the future. They asked us about difficulties and how we overcame them.

Caitlin and Amy interviewed Colm Gorey from Silicon Republic. Colm told us that he was at #cesicon in order to make connections and meet with the people he has seen on Twitter. He also spoke about his role in Silicon Republic and the event they are running again this year Inspirefest.

Roisin interviewed Seamus O’Neill at #Cesicon. Seamus is a retired primary school teacher and author of Mathemagic 1-6. He spoke about his new project ‘Ready Steady Code’ and how he wants this implemented in primary school maths classes. Seamus runs courses in Navan Education Centre and he told us more about these.
The tables were turned this week at #cesicon when Mags amond and Thomas Boyle interviewed Caitlin and Roisin from the Youth Media Team. They spoke about how the Youth Media Team has changed their school lives and personal development. They also spoke about how simple the work of the Youth Media Team is and how they have learned so much from the conferences they have attended.

At the launch of Brendan Cummins’ book ‘Standing My Ground’, we interviewed a selection of hurling greats past and present, including the likes of Brendan Maher, Eoin Kelly and Waterford’s John Mullane. Each shared their own memories of Brendan’s career in the past 20 years.

Finn, Amy and Róisín
At the launch of this years Clean Ireland Recycling Senior Hurling County Final Chris, Finn and Roisin meet up with Joe Bracken County PRO and Fergal Horgan this years referee. Joe shared his memories of attending county finals growing up.
Fergal discussed the privilege of being in charge of such an important occasion on the Tipp hurling calendar.
